LOUISVILLE, KY  —  Baptist Haiti Mission (BHM) welcomes Andrew Lambert as its newly appointed Field Director. Lambert comes to BHM with 25 years of service in the United States Air Force (specializing in operations management) and a heart for local church discipleship. He is passionate about seeing the Gospel proclaimed and lives transformed in Haiti and beyond.

Since it was founded in 1948, Baptist Haiti Mission has planted and partnered with over 350 churches in urban and rural communities across Haiti to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. BHM’s vision includes programs to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the Haitian people, and provides opportunities for human flourishing throughout the country. The Mission’s educational influence remains strong through building schools, sponsoring children, and training teachers. BHM also offers theological education and support for Haitian pastors and church leaders. Agriculture, carpentry, mechanic work, and construction are done at the Mission, providing jobs for many Haitians to support their families. The hospital on the Mission property cooperates with the Department of Health and offers a range of preventative care and treatment throughout the mountain area.

Baptist Haiti Mission President, Jeff Dalrymple is thrilled to have Lambert join the BHM staff and believes he will play an instrumental role in positioning BHM’s future ministry in Haiti: “Andy’s unique combination of decades of leadership experience and commitment to theological integrity make him an invaluable addition to Baptist Haiti Mission’s staff on the field,” Dalrymple says. “As Baptist Haiti Mission seeks to grow and strengthen our service to the church, Andy’s leadership as Field Director will be key to our success on the ground and in people’s hearts.”

Chairman of the Board for BHM, Ron Pierre, expressed his excitement for Lambert’s addition: “As BHM enters its 65t h  year of ministry to the Haitian people, the Lord continues to bless and provide us with godly men and women who are obedient to His sovereign call. The appointment of Andrew Lambert as Field Director, along with his wife Kristin, is further indication of God’s hand upon this ministry. In the providence of God, Andy’s stellar USAF career, focused on organization and training men for service at all levels, has perfectly prepared him for this duty. He will oversee the training and

development of our Haitian brothers for service to the Lord while directing the multifaceted ministries of BHM. There could be no better gift to the mission than Andy and Kristin; we look forward to continuing our mission of strengthening the Haitian church for the glory of God in the days ahead.”

Lambert and his wife, Kristin, currently live in Louisville, KY while Andy completes an M.Div from Southern Seminary. The Lamberts are members of Immanuel Baptist Church, and Andy participates in Immanuel’s Pastoral Apprenticeship. He holds a Master of Science in Management from Troy State University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He also served in the United States Air Force for 25 years in various engineering and management roles.
