The Constitution of BHM identifies the organization’s purpose to be “the propagation of the Gospel through the church, education, medical care, and development.” This couldn’t fit more clearly with Mission of Hope, whose vision states that “as an organization following Jesus Christ, we exist to see life transformation for every man, woman, and child in Haiti,” and whose core ministry centers around building healthy churches, schools, people, and communities. We praise God that we are able to pass the baton to an organization that has been a partner in the Gospel in Haiti for decades, with a tremendous history already of working well together.

Yes. We believe God established the church and His church has multiple expressions and distinctives. While many members of our team and leadership are Baptists, we actively choose to include other denominations in our work and partnerships in Haiti to advance the Gospel. Mission of Hope’s statement of faith is clearly aligned and inclusive of BHM’s doctrinal position, and that of its church partnership association ASEBACH. Therefore, we believe it is consistent to retain our Baptist distinctives, while partnering with others who align with the Mission of Hope statement of faith and stand committed to advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Haiti.
Although functioning as a ministry of Mission of Hope, funds contributed to BHM are restricted in use for BHM program activities to advance the Gospel in Haiti through the church, education, medical care, and development, as well as fundraising and administrative costs of BHM.
As a ministry of Mission of Hope, Baptist Haiti Mission’s new EIN number is 13-4207776 and our mailing address is PO Box 171500 Austin, TX 78717.
