An Open Letter to Pray

Dear Friends of BHM,

Haiti is facing a multitude of crises. Gang violence has instilled fear in many communities, while economic hardship and ongoing food insecurity leave our brothers and sisters struggling to meet their basic needs.

In these dark times, we turn to the power of prayer. We believe that through fervent prayer, Christ can bring comfort, hope, and healing to the Haitian people.

We are seeking 1 million people to join in prayer for Haiti. We implore you to join us in prayer. We believe that prayer is a powerful tool that can make a real difference. As the Bible reminds us in Romans 12:12 (ESV): “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”

To deepen your prayers for Haiti, we’d be honored to have you join our prayer list. Through text messages, we send out daily prayer requests and prompts specifically focused on the needs of the Haitian people.

Together, through united prayer, we can offer hope and support to our brothers and sisters in Haiti.

In Christ,
The Baptist Haiti Mission Board and Staff

Kenya Prayer Meetings

In March 2024, BHM participated in prayer meetings with the Kenyan leadership, led by First Lady Rachel Ruto, to demonstrate international faith cooperation. The event highlighted the unifying strength of prayer, which transcends geographical and cultural barriers and helped to build connections between Haiti and Kenya.

First Lady Rachel Ruto said, “We have come together to say we want to form a prayer strategy, and we would like you to join us in praying for this great country of Haiti because we know the Lord can transform Haiti.”

While many problems in Haiti were discussed, we believe the overriding issue is a spiritual war happening in Haiti. This spiritual war must be met with the prayers of the saints.
